ASPEN GROVE

Guided by the Rhythm of the Land

A cozy bedroom with a large bed, fluffy pillows, and two wooden nightstands with lamps. Large windows reveal an outdoor view of trees and a grassy landscape with autumn foliage.

A Study in Light, Warmth & Natural Harmony

The Aspen Grove Retreat is a quiet triumph of design, achieving a rare balance where luxury feels not just formal, but deeply livable. From the comfortable textures of the Great Room to the sculptural quality of the dining table, every decision reflects a commitment to creating an intimate, art-filled sanctuary that remains seamlessly connected to the wild heart of the Rockies.

Settled gracefully within a stand of mature aspen and pine trees, the architecture feels immediately rooted and intentional. The design achieves a sense of established permanence by pairing warm, vertical wood siding with substantial, natural buff-colored stone masonry.

The structure is defined by its dedication to light. Expansive glass elements—both large windows and French doors—are strategically placed to maximize daylight and frame the stunning views, allowing the ever-changing colors of the meadow and the distant ridge lines to become a dynamic part of the interior design.

The Heart of the Home: Texture and Form

Stepping onto the wide-plank light oak flooring, the space opens into a bright, cohesive hub designed for both grand gatherings and quiet repose.

The vaulted Great Room is dominated by high ceilings and an exceptional sense of scale. Subtle hints of exposed timber break the volume, adding a touch of structural history. The seating area is deliberately relaxed, centered around a sleek, modern horizontal fireplace that anchors the room. The abundance of natural light softens the neutral palette, ensuring the space feels both elegant and inviting.

The adjacent Dining Area is a focal point of sculptural design. The centerpiece is a unique table featuring a thick, dark stone slab supported by raw, reclaimed wood bases—a beautiful, sculptural conversation between polished surface and rugged form. Above, a contemporary brass chandelier casts a warm, sophisticated glow, making the simple act of dining feel elevated.

Private Corners and Curated Detail

The home’s attention to detail ensures personality and comfort in every private space, from the primary suite to the purposeful office.

  • The Contemplative Office: A dedicated office space offers a haven for focus and inspiration. Beyond the comfortable furniture, a telescope stands ready beside the full-height window, inviting moments of quiet observation or stargazing.

  • The Sanctuary Bath: Retreat to a serene bathroom where a freestanding soaking tub is positioned perfectly to enjoy the private views. The space is brightened by the use of marble-look tile and natural materials, including a classic wood vanity. Another bath features a window softened by a bespoke botanical Roman shade, adding a delicate, personal touch to the spa-like experience.

  • Art and Flow: The home's overall high-contrast palette—light walls, warm wood accents—is constantly animated by a curated collection of art: bold, graphic prints, striking contemporary horizon paintings, and dramatic gilded Western oil paintings. This thoughtful integration ensures the interiors feel both personal and seamlessly connected to the wild landscape outside.
